Our Group Financing team drives Alibaba Group capital strategy, corporate financing, and financing advisory to our business segments from our Hong Kong office.

The Role

We are looking for a commercially sharp Associate Director to join our high performing team to lead and drive the group-level complex and large-scale financing projects, and collaborate with business units on optimizing their short to long term financing strategy. You will report to the Head of Group Financing and work closely with senior management, investment banks, and cross-functional stakeholders.

What You Will Do

• Lead end-to-end execution of capital markets financing projects — proficient in a wide range of financing products, including debt, securitization, syndicated loans, financial modelling, and repurchase etc.
• Serve as an internal capital markets advisor to the business, providing valuable strategic advice
• Grasp core business imperatives and spearhead cross-functional research initiatives, translating complex findings into high-value strategic insights for senior management and business stakeholders.
• Demonstrated team leadership capabilities, with proven ability to drive organizational development and ensure effective implementation

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field from a top-tier university; CPA, CFA or equivalent preferred
• 8+ years in investment banking, corporate finance, or capital markets at a major financial institution or large enterprises
• Demonstrated solid understanding of domestic and international capital market regulations and various financing instruments
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and meet global business demands
• Person of integrity, diligent, and proactive, with a strong alignment with Alibaba's core values
