Position Summary:
Millie, a dynamic and patient-centered women’s health/OBGYN clinic, is seeking a highly motivated Clinic Lead who is also a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) for our new South Bay clinic. This dual-role position combines direct patient care responsibilities with clinic leadership and operational oversight. The Clinic Lead is responsible for supporting high-quality patient experiences while managing the day-to-day clinic operations, ensuring efficient workflows, consistent clinical standards, and strong team coordination. In this role you will have the opportunity to help build out a key function in a brand new clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties (Medical Assistant):
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures, including taking vitals and patient history
- Assist providers with OB/GYN procedures and exams
- Perform point-of-care testing and specimen collection as needed
- Document patient interactions accurately in the EMR system
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked, sanitized, and properly set up for patient care
- Provide patient education and follow-up instructions under provider guidance
Leadership & Operations Duties (Clinic Lead):
- Oversee daily clinic operations to ensure smooth patient flow and staff coverage
- Serve as the primary point of contact for front and back-office clinical staff
- Manage medical supply inventory and ordering to ensure adequate stock levels
- Maintain and optimize existing clinic workflows as well as identify areas to improve and help to design and implement new clinic workflows to improve efficiency and patient satisfaction
- Create and manage clinic staff schedules, ensuring proper coverage across shifts
- Train new clinical staff and provide ongoing support and mentorship
- Monitor adherence to clinical protocols and compliance standards
- Communicate regularly with the Clinical Operations Director on staffing, workflow challenges, and patient care concerns
- Manage referral workflows with Front Desk staff
- Support and help implement quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) required
- Minimum 3 years experience in a Women’s Health or OB/GYN clinical setting
- Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Able to multitask and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, start-up environment
- BLS certification required
Compensation: This is an hourly, non-exempt role with a target pay range between $28-35 per hour. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by several factors, including level of experience, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.
