This is an incredible opportunity for any person who's highly clued into trends and looking to break into Hollywood, as it would involve working directly with celebrities and franchise owners. Experience working on the social media strategy and creating content for games would be helpful in this role as we aim to create social content that lowers the barrier to entry to our product.You'll be joining at a very exciting time, as we continue our beta with celebrities like Kiernan Shipka and Flynn McGarry, and creators like Baby Ariel and Bailey Spinn.Day to day responsibilities include:• Using social media marketing tools to create and maintain Kangaroo’s brand• Grow our TikTok and Instagram accounts by hopping on current trends• Distilling Kangaroo's product into memey social posts that are digestible by fandom followers with a focus on ensuring our core offering can be quickly understood from our social media• Engaging with IP partners (Kiernan Shipka and other celebrities) during their launch to craft social media posts on non-Kangaroo feeds• Contributing to marketing strategy by leveraging social media to identify and acquire customers• Working with the Kangaroo design and operations team to develop social media marketing campaigns• Interacting with users and other stakeholders via the company’s social media accounts• Analyzing the company’s digital marketing plan and social media strategy and identifying strategic weaknesses and making recommendations for improvements• Researching social media trends and informing management of changes that are relevant to the company’s marketing activities• Setting key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media campaigns, such as targets for a certain number of shares or likes and measuring a campaign’s performance against the KPIsWhat is needed for the roleMinimum qualifications• Social media skills• Understanding of games and the gaming industry• Experience marketing at a video game publisher or developer as well as driving growth loops for user acquisition• Consistently up to date with social media trends (TikTok trends, Insta layouts, etc)• Extrovert who loves engaging with people online • Experience with community management either on Discord or social media • Self-motivated yet user-focused• Creative approach to both marketing planning and execution, working in a collaborative and transparent manner with our developers• Experience in developing strategic marketing plans, and bring them to market with data-driven campaign executionsNice to haves• Proven ability to massively scale consumer-focused social media accounts• Familiar with social campaigns in the video game space and can leverage social trends into practical strategies• Awareness of game-specific marketing tactics including mobile marketing strategies• Experience creating social media content for interactive storytelling products (such as Choices, Episode, etc.)• Active participant in a fandom community and understanding of fandom demographics
