About the role

The Intern will work with the goTenna sales and business development teams, as well as the Product and Engineering Teams, to apply goTenna’s hardware and software solutions to our customer’s problems. You will be able to hit the ground running and engage with prospective customers and describe how goTenna’s technologies make their missions safer and more effective. A typical day for you might include you:

• Meeting with a customer to discuss how goTenna’s SDK can integrate with their solution

• Visiting a customer site to support integration testing

• Provide technical input and be the lead technical writer to a government proposal, to include SBIRs, STRATFis, RFPs, etc.

• Coordinate with the goTenna Customer Experience team and other Sales team members to plan a customer technical sales demo or field demo

• Working with the goTenna product team to provide roadmap input based on customer feature requests

• Communicate and engage with government customers to manage funded projects, including milestone delivery, requirements gathering, and more.

• Architect the development of joint solutions with partner companies and/or customers

The ideal candidate will be one with technical expertise and an enthusiasm for working with customers and finding a way to “get to yes” for their mission.

This role requires domestic and international travel up to 10%.

Due to goTenna’s work with defense, intelligence, and law enforcement customers, employees must be a US, UK, Australian, NZ, or Canadian citizen.

Primary responsibilities:

• Maintain technical expertise on goTenna’s product offerings and support offerings (i.e., SDKs, product roadmaps, etc.)

• Lead virtual and in-person briefings on goTenna capabilities to a range of audiences, ranging from end users to highly technical subject matter experts
  

• Support technical vetting of potential joint solutions with partner companies

• Generate technical materials for internal collateral, customer briefings, and external proposals

• Conduct goTenna demos for customers

• Stay up to speed on the latest technological advancements in our industry as well as the latest employment criteria of our customers

• Understand technical requirements to integrate goTenna products and services into broader C4ISR/C5ISR or IT infrastructures

• Support the winning of new business

Required experience:

• General ATAK knowledge and experience

• 2 years Hardware and Software experience in communications or other related equipment

• Proficient at writing government proposals (SBIRs, STRATFis, RFP’s, etc)

• Experience supporting and working with US defense, intelligence, law enforcement, and/or public safety customers

• Experience in integrating hardware and software into US military applications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

• Self-motivated and able to manage shifting priorities in a remote setting

• Must be able to travel internationally

• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance

Preferred experience:

• ATAK server experience or ability to learn

• Active clearance

• Experience US Government tactical radio networks, C4ISR, C5ISR or IT systems

• Master’s degree in engineering, Business or other relevant field

• Deep understanding of/experience in developing requirements for US Department of Defense, Intelligence, Law Enforcement and/public safety organizations

ITAR: U.S. Citizen or Green Card Required

Placement at the appropriate job level (entry, senior, etc) will be determined by a combination of years of experience, demonstration of proficiency in this field, and other qualifications.
