The Role:
Blueland is looking for a dynamic Retail Sales Coordinator to support the team as we continue to grow across brick & mortar channels.
This role will report to the Director of Sales and will work closely with cross-functional teams in Operations, Finance, and Product Marketing to help deliver business objectives. Core responsibilities include managing Retailer portals & product pages, new item setup, updating weekly & monthly sales reporting, and supporting internal forecasting and trade management.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, has exceptional eye for detail, and has relevant industry experience (CPG).
Responsibilities:
- Customer Execution
- Own retailer portal management: including new item setup, inventory reviews, weekly data reports, PO confirmation, etc
- Own managing & updating our retailer.com product pages: partnering with eComm, Product Marketing, and Sales Director to leverage most impactful content
- As needed, support Sales Team in building customer presentations
- Leverage monthly SPINS insights data to communicate key category trends and make strategic recommendations for Blueland
- Conduct quarterly “Retail Safaris” both in-stores and online: reporting back new category trends or competitive messaging, new item launches, any actionable recommendations, etc
- Collaborate with Sales Team on post-promotion analysis template: then manage data updates and share recommendations based on channel trends and Blueland’s ROI
- Update Blueland’s store locator with latest distribution (as needed)
- Internal Planning & Communications
- Support internal monthly & annual forecasting and budget process
- Specifically, track actuals vs planned, impact of recent sales & inventory on future orders, and maintain communication systems to ensure consistent information throughout organization
- With Sales Director, own building and updating monthly “Retail Business Review” template to enhance internal communication regarding category trends, revenue delivery vs forecast, and key opportunities looking ahead
- Collaborate with Sales Director and other stakeholders to build enhanced reporting in Looker platform. Top 2 priorities include developing a 1) New Item Tracker and 2) Post Promotion Analysis
- Once built, partner with Sales Director to develop messaging cadence to share information internally
- Create and maintain merchandising planners for each Retailer
- Assist Sales Team with other administrative business needs: including customer contracts, cost changes, deduction and reclaim management, etc
- Support with building internal briefs, as needed, for any brand or creative requests
- Partner with Sales Team to update and maintain Retail Sales Execution document
- Support ongoing special project work, product samples, office supply needs, etc
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-3 years of Coordinator or Analytical experience, specifically in CPG industry
- Advanced proficiency with using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & Google Suite
- Experience in Looker data platform a plus
- Experience working with Kroger, Meijer, UNFI, Whole Foods, Target preferred
- Strong track record of leveraging data to effectively build a business case
- Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $85,000 per year.
